Procurement

Procurement is the process of acquiring goods, works and services. It includes the compilation of contracts for the supply of goods and services plus contract arrangements for construction projects. These works are procured via the CityWest Homes Frameworx or CompeteFor.

Our procurement processes enables us to achieve best value and offers a combination of whole life costs and benefits to meet our customer’s needs.

We have a dedicated procurement team that supports our staff to purchase correctly to ensure on-going, sustainable, best value delivery across the business.

Our procurement strategy

We are in the process of producing a procurement strategy which will focus on value for money and compliance with prescribed procedures. The strategy will allow us to: 
 

• Procure to meet our aims to be the leading provider of housing services
• Do better for less.
• Involve our residents in large funding decisions about their homes and neighbourhoods
• Assist our suppliers in doing business with us
• Encourage successful tenderers to support local labour initiatives and businesses

CompeteFor procurement

If you are interested in finding out how to do business with us, CompeteFor is an online system created to allow companies to compete fairly for contract opportunities. It provides an unbiased and equitable way of obtaining tenders and quotations.

CompeteFor involves business practices and construction companies to register onto a database. These companies can then access all opportunities or be notified by CompeteFor of current contracts being advertised.
