CityWest Homes join national green group
CtyWest Homes has now joined the nationwide sustainability initiative, Sustainable Homes Index For Tomorrow (SHIFT), the only initiative to provide a comprehensive environmental benchmark for affordable housing providers. We have joined a list of SHIFT supporters, which includes the Homes and Communities Agency, World Wildlife Federation, the Mayor of London and the UK Green Building Council.
Peter Armfield, sustainability manager, CityWest Homes, commented: “CityWest Homes is committed to the sustainability agenda. We already run one of the UK’s largest community combined Heat and Power district heating systems and we have many initiatives underway to help our residents lead more sustainable lives. We are delighted to be a SHIFT member so we can demonstrate our commitment in a nationally recognised manner.”

SHIFT is the comprehensive environmental benchmark for affordable housing providers. The SHIFT index is administrated by Sustainable Homes. In addition to CityWest Homes, SHIFT now holds 40 members throughout the UK.and members are accredited on a scale of Bronze to Platinum.
