CWH gets bronze for customer services benchmarking

CityWest Homes is a member of the RealService Best Practice Group, a benchmarking and best practice group of property owners and managers dedicated to improving customer service.

The twenty strong member group own and manage assets worth in excess of £100 billion.

In January this year, CityWest Homes participated for the first time in a challenging benchmarking exercise which allowed us to compare our services against some of the biggest players in the private sector such as British Land, Land Securities and Gatwick Airport. Areas that were benchmarked included people and leadership, supply and client management, and customer solutions.

This being the first year of the benchmarking index in this form all participants received a ‘bronze’ award for service excellence. A standard for ‘Gold’ and ‘Silver’ will be established for the 2012 exercise. This was a valuable learning experience and our submission was assessed as evidencing outstanding or strong achievement across most categories.

We aim to use our planned service improvements to residents this year to set up for a ‘Gold’ award in 2012.
