Fisherton Street Nursery Turns 21!
On the last day of term, Fisherton Street Nursery, Church Street, celebrated 21 years of being an essential care and education service to the Westminster community. They held a fun day of entertainment for local children, who attended in their party best, on the 22 July. The children were able to enjoy face-painting, delicious food from across the globe and entertainment from the ever popular Fizzy Lizzie, who kept the magic going with circus tricks and balloonery.
Agnes Pajor, chair of the Parent Committee, said: “I love this place: it’s just small enough to offer our kids a personal service which is great for their development. The parents really get involved too. It’s a home from home and I’m so pleased my daughter came here”.
Sue Whaley, a local resident who has managed the nursery since its opening in 1990, added: “There have been lots of changes over the years but we’ve kept going and I think we offer a great service to a very diverse community on the estate. Here’s to the next 21 years”.
