Mozart gets a makeover from CityWest Homes and Pinnacle PSG

When the grounds of Portnall House on the Mozart estate, Queen’s Park, recently needed a spruce up, CityWest Homes and Pinnacle PSG stepped up to help.

After consulting with residents, it was agreed that the entrance gardens of the grounds and communal sheds could use a makeover. The CityWest Homes’ handypersons’ team, estate office staff and Pinnacle PSG’s gardeners then joined forces to carry out the work.

Barry Montgomerie, area manager, CityWest Homes, said: "The building has always been well maintained but the grounds were in need of some care. CityWest Homes and Pinnacle PSG were only too happy to spend the day with local residents, getting the grounds back up to scratch".

The team created new flower beds around the building and cut back the large hedges in the grounds. A derelict timber structure at the rear of the building was also removed and the CityWest Homes’ handy person service applied the finishing touches of paint to the shed doors and entrance.

Local resident Magdalene Peters was delighted with the transformation. “All those who worked on the project did a great job and I can’t believe how quickly they completed the work. One day the buildings and gardens looked tired and in need of some tender loving care: the next, you couldn’t believe you were going home to the same flat.”

By listening to what local residents have to say, the teams worked together to give them a better service and provide a helping hand.
