Secure your window boxes this winter

With the arrival of winter, now is the time for tying down anything in the garden that can be blown away by winter gales including window boxes, tubs and pots.

Last year there were several accidents across the country where people narrowly escaped injury from falling flower pots, some people were also seriously injured.

We are asking all residents to check their window boxes, flower tubs or pots on external window sills, balconies, and make sure they are secure and cannot fall. Often a length of strong string or wire is all you need to keep them secured safely in place.
