Meet our board members

Adam Humphryes

Chairman and independent member

Adam is a chartered accountant and has held senior finance positions in large private sector companies. Adam was formerly a board member of Drum Housing Association, formerly East Hampshire Housing Association, based in Petersfield. 

Abdul Adamu

Resident board member

Abdul was appointed in July 2007. He is a medical practitioner and is also an active member of his residents association. Abdul is particularly interested in resident participation and service delivery and sits on the service delivery advisory committee.

Neil Garrett

Resident board member

Neil was appointed in July 2007. He works as a part-time consultant surveyor and has a keen interest in social housing. He has extensive experience in the housing and construction sectors. Neil is a founder member of the Glastonbury House Residents Forum. He sits on the development and building services committee.

Gwyn Gilmour

Resident board member

Gwyn has been a resident of Westbourne area since 1977. Over the past 12 years she has been active in wider local issues, as well as on her estate Residents’ Association. Her career has been in management of architectural practices and design and build contractors. She sits on the customer services committee.

Carole Spedding

Resident board member

Carole has lived in Westminster for over 35 years, is Chair of the Four River's Residents Association and was appointed to the Board in March 2011. She previously served as a Parent Governor of North Westminster Community School, and was more recently publicly elected to the Church Street Neighbourhood Management Board in 2008. Carole had a lengthy career in publishing and later worked with the homeless in London's West End for ten years.

Andrew Havery

Councillor

Andrew was elected to Westminster City Council in May 2002 representing Churchill ward. He is Westminster's only Chinese Councillor. He is also an accountant and sits on our finance and audit committee.

Adam Hug

Councillor

Adam represents the Westbourne ward, having been elected for the first time in May 2010. He was nominated to the board in May 2010. Adam is active on a number of local residents groups in Westbourne and in his day job is as the policy director at the Foreign Policy Centre.

Gwyneth Hampson

Councillor

Gwyneth has represented Regent's Park ward since 2002 and has also been deputy cabinet member for housing. She sits on a number of management committees for her organisation and is a member of our development and building services committee and our customer services committee.

Ian Adams

Councillor

Ian was appointed to the board in July 2010 and has served as a councillor for Little Venice ward since 2002. He chairs the council's children's and young people's overview and scrutiny committee. Ian was previously cabinet member for adult social care and before that was deputy cabinet member for social services and housing. Ian has a long history with CityWest Homes. He was involved in supporting our establishment as an ALMO and served on the former north area board and main board before he took up the cabinet member role.
 

Richard Reynolds

Independent member

Richard was managing director for all Barratt activity from London to Kent and Essex coasts for 25 years before he retired in 2006. Richard is a non-executive director of the Aldwyck Housing Group, Pinnacle PSG, Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation, and the Orbit Housing Group where he also chair's Orbit Homes. A Fellow of the Chartered Institutes of Building, Housing and Marketing, Richard is also a member of RICS. He is also the chairman of our development and building services committee.

Rene Carayol

Independent member

Rene is an international business speaker on subjects including leadership, business transformation and change, strategy, risk, talent and customer service. He has been a non-executive director for several organisations including three years with the Inland Revenue. He was awarded an MBE in 2004 for services to business. Rene currently sits on our remuneration, employment and diversity committee.
