Pets

I would like to have a pet for company. May I keep one?
More info
Tenants as well as leaseholders have to get permission to keep a dog, bird or other animal in their home. Please contact your local estate office if you want to keep a pet.
We only give permission for keeping a dog if you live on the ground floor and have a private garden. If permission is given you must ensure the dog does not cause a nuisance or danger to anyone. It must carry identification with your name and address and be kept under control on a lead at all times on estates.
What can I do if faced with a noisy and intimidating dog kept by a neighbour?
More info
Only residents who live on the ground floor and have a private garden can obtain permission for keeping a dog. If you find any neighbour not living on the ground floor but keeping a dog regardless, you should report this to the estate office so that follow-up action can be taken.
If the dog is kept in a ground floor home but disturbs residents by barking incessantly, please report this to your local estate office. You can also report this anti-social behaviour online
There is constantly dog litter around my home. What can I do?
More info
Residents are entitled to enjoying their open spaces free of dog mess. It is an offence for any person not to clean up after their dog. Please report any such cases to your estate office. If you know the keeper who is responsible, your information will be treated as confidential.
