Have you ever wondered how you can take part in the Council's
decision-making process? Have you ever wondered how the governance
arrangements for the company are structured and how this
combines with our duties to consult? Well, if you have, this page
is for you!
The foundations of CityWest Homes are built on the
principle of sound governance and effective and
established consultation procedures. From representation on the
main board or through respresentation at one of CityWest's
sub-committees, through to the statutory consultation
mechanisms we have in place through Residents Associations,
Residents Panels and a central Housing Panel.
Under Section 105 of the Housing Act 1985 (As Amended) the
Council has a duty to consult on programmes of maintenance or a
change in policy and practice which substantially affects all
secure tenants or a particular group of secure tenants or homes.
The structure chart detailed below highlights how consultation is
undertaken within CityWest Homes and the Council. By clicking on
the boxes on the consultation chart, you will be able to read more
about each section of the chart.
Find out more about the individual consultation
initiatives, by clicking on the name of the consultation initiative
you are interested in, for example, open days.
