Tenancy agreement

Westminster City Council tenants have a tenancy agreement, which is a legal agreement between them and the council. A tenancy agreement sets out the conditions of the tenancy and describes the rights and responsibilities as a tenant and those the council has as the landlord. It is important that these conditions are read carefully as a tenant may lose their home if they do not keep to them.

'Your Tenancy Agreement' is available in the following languages:

  English
  French
  Portuguese
  Spanish
  Chinese
  Arabic
  Bengali
  Farsi

Tenants’ handbook

The tenants' handbook provides useful information about tenancies and how Westminster City Council and CityWest Homes manage and maintain its properties.

The handbook also answers many questions commonly asked by tenants including rent, repairs and improvements, living with neighbours, health and security in the home, estate services, moving and buying your home, resident involvement and insurance.
