Compacts
Compacts are an agreement between resident's and their village manager about what services they would like to see improved.
Following agreement with other local residents on the services they would like to see improved, residents negotiate with the village manager and CityWest Homes about how this will be done. A review of the compact is under taken every six months to monitor whether what was agreed has been carried out.
Compacts also explain how the village manager will help increase resident involvement and encourage more local people to have a say in the way they are run. They also include opportunities for residents on employment, health and education.
Some examples of issues raised in 2011 compacts were:
- security
- making estates greener places
- improving communication between estate staff and residents
-
rubbish disposal
Local compacts for 2012 are currently being evaluated and will be available here soon.
