Employment services

We have a dedicated employment team to help you find work in and around Westminster.

During 2016/17 we registered around 250 people into our employment service and have helped 75 residents into work.

How we can support you

If you are looking for work, our employment team can support you in the following ways:

  • help writing your CV
  • help completing application forms
  • support in preparing for interviews
  • job searches.

To benefit from our service you must be:

  • a Westminster resident
  • aged 18 – 65 years old
  • currently unemployed or working under eight hours a week
  • if you are in education, you must be working less than 16 hours a week.

Apprenticeship opportunities

If you or a member of your household is aged 17 to 24 and are interested in finding out more about our apprenticeship opportunities, we would love to hear from you.

We have regular apprenticeship opportunities available through our major works and repairs contractors, and the number of apprenticeships is likely to increase over the next few years.

Our apprenticeships are in a range of different areas and are not just trade apprenticeships.

The roles available will be prioritised for CityWest Homes and Westminster residents.

We also work closely with a number of more specialist employment teams and services within Westminster, as part of the Westminster Employment Service. We can refer you if we think you would benefit from more specialist service.
