Open House London has been an architectural extravaganza since 1992. For two days only, hundreds of buildings (which are usually closed to the public) will open their doors to visitors and give them a rare peak inside London’s hidden secrets.

This year, CityWest Homes is delighted to open our very own Pimlico District Heating Undertaking (PDHU) on both 16 and 17 September.

PDHU began life in the 1950’s, as the UK’s first combined heat and power network. It was revolutionary, successfully tackling environmental concerns facing London. The network led to the UK’s first smokeless homes, which helped to reduce smog and pollution - a potentially fatal problem for people living at that time.

Today, PDHU is as crucial as ever, providing clean, safe and reliable energy to over 3,000 properties in the Pimlico area.

Entry to PDHU is free and there’s no need to book in advance. You can view the full details here.

You can view the full programme of buildings and events at the Open House London website.

We look forward to welcoming you to PDHU.
