Last week, we held a ‘Cuppa with a copper’ event at the Community Supported Housing Scheme in Penn House for elderly and vulnerable residents.
The coffee morning was a chance for our residents to meet their local police team and talk about the issues that affect them in their area, as well as support them to report antisocial behaviour (ASB).
The event was organised in partnership with CityWest Homes’ ASB team, Westminster City Council Community Protection team, the local policing team, and Central Housing Services team. On the day, our team also gave advice and answered housing related queries raised within the scheme.
CityWest Homes’ ASB team leader, Rochelle Largan, said: “The ‘Cuppa with a copper’ event was a great opportunity for us and our partners to reach out to, and support, our vulnerable and elderly residents.
“We were able to gain valuable insights into their experiences. This helped us to identify areas where future resources should be allocated, to ensure that they feel safe and happy in their homes.”
Our 'Cuppa with a copper' events will be held more regularly in the future, keep a look out for the next one in our events calendar.
