Dear neighbour card

We are supporting Noise Action Week from 21 – 26 May with our new ‘Dear neighbour’ cards, which act as a polite reminder for neighbours to keep it down.

Run by Environmental Protection UK, Noise Action Week seeks to raise awareness of the impact that excessive noise can have on people’s lives.

We want to make sure our residents can be comfortable in their homes without being disturbed. This is why we developed our ‘Dear neighbour’ cards with help from our resident area panels.

The cards act as an anonymous reminder for neighbours who may not realise they are disturbing nearby homes.

One resident who used the cards successfully said:

“I felt really empowered being able to take action myself and am so pleased that the issue has now been resolved. The card helped me to stay on track with what I was trying to say thanks to the tick boxes and allowed me to explain myself easily to my neighbour.”

You can download the cards from our website, pick them up at your local area service centre or call 0800 358 3783 to request in the post.

If you are experiencing more serious issues you can report anti-social behaviour online or by calling 0800 358 3783.

For more serious noise complaints contact Westminster City Council’s 24 hour noise service. You can report online or by calling 020 7641 2000 and the team will call you back within 45 minutes.
